a westerly fold: ahoy there

I have a habit of getting big ideas in my head and not following through with them. It is a terrible habit to have but one that isn't entirely unique to me, thanks to sites like Pinterest. Occasionally I'll look back at all the clever things I've pinned over time and I have only done maybe 1% of them.

When Clio turned one I had wanted to throw a big birthday bash for her but as is normally the case with my big ideas, it did not pan out. Mostly because our entire life was in boxes, on a truck, rolling towards Oregon while we were sleeping on a blow-up mattress in our empty apartment. This year I want to throw that big birthday bash for Clio and I am determined to make it happen.

After an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out a theme I finally decided on vintage nautical (is that even a "theme?"). It is hard to say no to sailboats, submarines, sea creatures and, best of all, seaworthy temporary tattoos on skinny kiddo arms.
